Seismic Performance of Assembled Shear Wall with Defective Sleeve Connection

In this paper, three kinds of shear walls with full sleeve grouting, fully defective and partially are designed for finite element analysis to analyze the influence defects on seismic performance walls. The research shows that at beginning loading (5 s), models begin appear compressive damage bottom wall in all models. defect-free model develops rapidly, is basically same as model. With gradual increase displacement control (15 damages foot grouting obvious, plastic hinge formed wall, phenomenon development along pier body showing up. When structure damaged, overall side slightly deficient. While maximum stress pre-stressed reinforcement concentrated top sleeve, steel bar appears end sleeve. hysteresis curve shape non-defect same, a “shuttle” sound energy dissipation effect. an obvious “pinch” phenomenon. yield levels smaller than structure. stiffness degradation curves overlap one another. Before limit displacement, results greater loaded 20 mm, equivalent.
